Kona Veterinary Service Staff

 

Dr's. Bob Jordan and Jenny Chartier, a husband and wife team, are the owners of Kona Veterinary Service. They moved to the Big Island in April 2004, and have embraced life on the Big Island and their extended family of the KVS staff. Which continues to grow with their new daughter Sophia, and our newest doctor, Jeanne Gaughan.

 

Dr. Robert Jordan

Voted #1 Veterinarian in West Hawaii

Dr. Bob Jordan is a native of the East Coast. His undergraduate career began at the University of Pennsylvania and ended at Temple University. He attended veterinary school at the University of Minnesota and then spent one year at the University of Missouri completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery. Prior to moving to Hawaii he has practiced both in small animal hospitals and in emergency & critical care centers. In 2008, Dr. Jordan was voted by the residents of West Hawaii, Best Veterinarian. Dr. Jenny Chartier

Dr. Jenny Chartier grew up in Missouri where she attended undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She then spent the next 7 years living in northeast Pennsylvania where she practiced in both companion animal general practice and emergency and critical care hospitals.

 

Dr. Jeanne Gaughan

Dr. Jeanne Gaughan grew up is the suburbs of Philadelphia, pennsylvania. She graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia in 1991, and completed her veterinary degree in Massachusetts at Tufts University in 1995. Dr. Gaughan went on to complete once year of private practice internship in Darien, CT in medicine and surgery. She has been working for the past 11 years mainly in specialty practices and as an emergency clinician. She joined the Kona Veterinary Service team in January of 2007. Her specialty veterinary interest is in small animal cardiology. She is pictured with her husband Matt and there 10 year old lab, Barley. In July of 2008, they welcomed their first child, Danielle!
